In most systems, an observation is created, its status is changed, and it’s closed. But real compliance doesn’t work that way: a solution can be partial, it can take multiple attempts, and it can involve more than one person before it’s resolved. Every observation has its own formalized follow-up thread
Record, assign, and follow up on every observation between the inspector and the owner. Every progress update and piece of evidence is logged in the same observation. When the owner marks the finding for review, the inspector must validate it and leave a comment to close it. If the issue reappears, the observation reopens, automatically logging the recurrence.

The coordinator can be standing in front of the finding, open the platform from their phone or tablet, record the affected area, take the photo, and upload it as evidence at that same moment. LINKED LEGAL FRAMEWORK

When logging a finding, the coordinator can link it to a specific NOM, permit, or authority. That way, every observation becomes actionable information: it doesn’t just indicate that something is out of order, but which standard or permit is at risk and why. From the detail view of a NOM or permit, you can also see all related observations at any location.

In NAPSsoft, every observation lives permanently in the walkthrough where it was created, visible and assigned until it is formally closed. If a closed observation shows up again, the system automatically logs the recurrence: evidence that the issue requires a root-cause intervention, not just a one-off fix.

AUTOMATIC RECURRENCES
When an observation reopens after reaching review or being closed, the system logs the recurrence. The counter grows on its own—evidence that something hasn’t been resolved at the root.
CAPTURE FINDINGS OFFLINE
Offline mode lets you log observations and multimedia evidence in the field with no signal. Everything syncs automatically when the device is back online, without losing any record from the walkthrough.
